Have you ever looked back and wished you
had handled a situation better?

Have you tried in earnest to help someone
but it seemed to go nowhere?

Did you think you were listening but later
found out you did not hear the full story?

Would you like to learn to respond in a way
which does not convey shame or criticism?

Listening & Responding with Compassion

The essence of all good communication consists of "skills" and a "way of being".   During this retreat,  you will learn the principle of empathy, the empathetic way of being, four distinct empathy skills, four key listening mistakes to avoid.

Complementing the skills of empathy you will learn six steps for offering  advice and feedback in  an effective, constructive and compassionate way. You will learn how to affirm the dignity of the other and avoid shame-based responses.

Role-play is designed to integrate content and actively apply what is learned. Uzi will guide and coach you in developing your skills.

"these skills can change the world."
